- Place the test needle and simulated skin at 22C for at least 24 hour and test at the same temperature.
- Clamp the simulated skin for appropriate size on the fixture.
- No obvious tensile or compressive force should be applied to the simulated skin.
- Mount the test needle on the device with its axis perpendicular to the surface of the simulated skin and the needle tip pointing to the center of the circle puncture area.
- Set the moving speed to 100mm/min; start test device during the puncture process on the membrane, measure the sharpness value or record the force displacement diagram.
